FRIDAY MAY 5, Cinco de Mayo

Kent Island Restoration, 10am-2pm, ages 5+, Meet at the public dock on Wharf Rd in Bolinas (across from the College of Marin biology lab).

SF Opera Sing A Story: The Magic Flute, 3:30-4:30pm, Ages 4-10, A teaching artist from the San Francisco Opera will introduce The Magic Flute by Mozart, complete with singing and opera insights. Musical storytelling, a choral coaching and singing session, props and costumes make this a truly immersive creative experience, San Anselmo Library.

Cinco de Mayo Festival, 5-8pm, Carne Cruda will be entertaining with exciting and upbeat music, Ballet Folklorico will perform their heritage-rich dances, and the Children’s Creativity Museum will be there with some activities for the kids. Mystery of the White Hill, 10am – 2pm, Come on a hike with Ranger Mike Warner to find the crash site of the B-17 Flying Fortress, a bomber aircraft from World War II. We’ll discuss the history, context, and mystery surrounding the site. This event is ideal for all ages. Meet at the roadside parking area near the top of White Hill Grade on Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
