Bay Area Dance Week

Bay Area Dance Week is a 10-day festival starting April 24 - May 3 and features hundreds of FREE public dance events throughout the entire San Francisco Bay Area. Dance lovers of all ages and experiences will have the opportunity to try out different dance styles, from folk dance as far north as Santa Rosa to international dancing in Livermore to tango in Santa Cruz and hundreds in-between.

Other venues include bhangra, hip hop, ballet, hula, aerial dance, and much more. Visit the Bay Area Dance Week website to discover the wide range of classes, performances, workshops, lectures, demos and more planned. Some stand outs includes a behind the scenes open rehearsal of Cinderella with the Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley, Aerial Dancing in Fairfax, Nordic Folk Dancing in Menlo Park, Bandalooping in Oakland, and Brazilian Carnaval Dance in San Francisco.

Get ready to shake your booty and join hundreds of other dancers in the flashmob dance at the Bay Area Dance Week Kick-Off event on Friday, April 24, 12pm, Union Square, San Francisco. Here is a video to watch and dance along. More information visit bayareandw.org/kickoff. Hope to see you and your family there!
