Macaroni needs a forever home! He's a lovable goofball who likes to give everything 110%. This includes chasing toys, greeting people and other dogs, licking a stuffed Kong, and while training! Because he likes to give it his all, he's picked up on a lot of the training that he's been doing with staff and volunteers. He can get over-excited during these sessions, but it just means you get to flex your tranquility muscles. When taking a break from his "schooling", he enjoys melting in a lap for cuddles, sunbathing in a quiet area, and playing with puzzle toys.

Macaroni is just a sharp cheddar who is learning to be a mellow mozzarella. With patient guidance, he'll be worthy of a Michelin star!

Bunny needs a new home! She is somewhat shy at first but opens up pretty quickly. Overall, she is very sweet and cuddly. She likes to play fetch and loves to be pet on the head and back. She's not very talkative unless she wants attention or food! Guests of Bunny's current guardian love her and say she has major dog-energy. Bunny is looking for a family that will shower her with love and affection - she'll do the same in return!

Bunny is part of the SF SPCA Community Rehoming program, which connects people who need to re-home their pets with potential adopters, preventing animals from ever entering the shelter. Contact Bunny's current owner through the email provided at the bottom of her profile to setup a meet and greet.

There are many characteristics that help a dog get adopted quickly- of which sweet Madison has few. People seem to want young dogs- Madison is older. They want small dogs- Madison is a big girl. They want flashy colors and markings- Madison is pretty plain in the coat department. They want "dog park dogs", Maddie says "no thank you I prefer humans". She's overweight and her teeth are worn and she's got some skin tags to boot.

So why would anyone want Madison? Because she has the biggest heart and the happiest spirit, something we all could learn from in this world of superficial looks and artificial personas. Maddie exudes joy and love and is blissfully unaware that she isn't a designer shih-malti-doodle-poo. She needs a family who just wants a nice dog to take for walks, throw the ball for her occasionally, and then spend the rest of the day napping in the sunshine or cuddling on the couch. She's nothing fancy but she's a good girl and as deserving of love as any dog, regardless of looks or pedigree.

Take a chance on Madison you will see just what everyone else has been missing out on.

Beautiful Opal came here because her family had to move to a smaller house. She is mellow, has lived with children but is very independent and wants attention on her terms. She doesn't like to be picked up or petted for very long but she enjoys being next to her person. Opal also enjoys puzzle toys that she can solve and get treats from! She may sit on your lap and would enjoy getting treats from you. She's been in a foster home for several weeks and they say she is a wonderful guest. She's good with her litter box, would love plenty of room indoors to run and do bunny binky's and may enjoy a bunny friend. She's young and could live up to 10-12 years. We think she would be fine for older children and someone new (or familiar) to rabbits.

Hi, I’m Banjo!

I’m a sweet and gentle girl that can make a bed out of just about anything, lounging is my specialty!  I have retired from my active toy playing years, but I’ll may still bat around a toy or two if I’m up for it.  I would rather sprawl out in a cozy spot or on your lap while you do whatever humans do all day! I am looking for a relaxed home without other cats, older (cat savvy) kids would be okay with me.  I am a social butterfly and would appreciate a home that had people around often, my previous home was in a senior community and I had many human friends.
