BIOBLITZ: San Geronimo Serpentine

  • Gary Giacomini Preserve San Geronimo Ridge Road Forest Knolls, CA, 94933 United States (map)

Join Marin County Parks and One Tam at Gary Giacomini Preserve as we try to identify and document every living species we see! Hone your naturalist skills, learn to use the iNaturalist smartphone app, and contribute valuable data about Mt. Tam's biodiversity. San Geronimo Ridge has some beautiful serpentine habitats, and you will get an opportunity to learn from local experts about the unique plants and their pollinators.

All skills levels are welcome and no previous experience is necessary. This work is recommended for ages 12 and up; anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Snacks and extra water will be provided, but bring a lunch.

High fire danger cancels: Call (415) 473-7191 to get an update on fire danger status and land closures. If a "Red Flag" warning is in effect, all walks and events on Open Space District preserves are cancelled.

RSVP required; space is limited.
