  • Paraffin wax or leftover candles

  • dryer lint or wood shavings

  • paper egg cartons (or paper muffin cups)

  • a double boiler

  • a stove or hot plate

  • copper sulfide (sold as root killer in hardware stores) or potassium chloride (sold as NuSalt in grocery stores)

  • safety goggles

  • gloves
