The Bay Area Kids’ Triathlon Series hosts three different kids’ triathlons each summer: one in Menlo Park, one in Santa Clara, and one in San Jose. Families can enter their children into one triathlon or get a “season pass” to all three and save a little money. Because the events are sanctioned by USAT, families will also need to pony-up the costs for insurance for their little ones to participate in the events. The triathlons boast different distances for different age groups, and for the littlest ones, parents can swim alongside them in the water, run alongside them during T1, T2, and the run, and the kids can even use training wheels if they like. Participants earn a bib, medal, t-shirt, and goody bag to commemorate the event.
