CREATIVE ARTS CAMPS
In our safety-first camp, your camper will have a blast exploring the many possibilities of glass art as well as other artistic mediums that aren’t typically available for kids. They will learn glass art techniques and use tools to create a clock, life sized mask or wind-chime. This camp will spark creativity in all kids and stretch the imagination of the artistically adventurous. Just be prepared to hear with pride and a smile, “I Made It!”.

Join us for a week of fashion creation focused on sleepwear! Designers will have a choice of creating their own unique pajama pants, roll up blankets, mermaid tail blankets, snuggies, stuffed animals, pillows. Designers will learn from concept to completion including: taking measurements, reading patterns, cutting and fitting fabric, designing, hand stitching and proper use of sewing machine. Materials will be provided including cozy flannel, fleece, and cotton fabrics as well as sewing supplies and machines.
Calling all makers, painters, cutters, stickers, sculptors, photographers, creative thinkers and doers! It’s time to get your art on and join us for a week of time traveling art hacks through the story of art. Each day at camp we dive into a new time period from the Ancient to the Avant-Garde and get inside what inventions and creations made it great! Over the week we will make art and hack everyday objects into crafts, games, stories and clothing inspired by artists from different times and places from ancient Egypt to futuristic Shanghai. Expect to travel far and wide all week with the help of your imagination and a snazzy printed art explorer’s
kit that is yours to take home and share at the end of the week. Instructor Lucie Charkin, of A Little Culture, is a local maker, art historian and museum educator with over 15 years of experience in helping families connect with and through art.
Do you have a Shutterbug in your house? This photography camp will focus on FUN with creative projects while learning to work with your camera of choice. Each morning will start with a lesson and then we will go off on a walking tour to shoot our fun project of the day.
Carpentry for Kids is a fun educational program for K-6 designed to teach practical woodworking skills with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. Students of mixed ages and experience levels will work independently, with group cooperation, and teacher guidance, encountering learning opportunities for all. Each student will have an opportunity to advance their skills, and create their own fun, functional, beautiful project. Choose from a variety of project examples for your experience level, or invent and design your own. $50 material fee paid to instructor at first class meeting.
With 18 years of experience in providing ceramics camp, Studio4Art has A LOT to share with our campers! Contemporary artists are explored, traditional techniques are taught, and sharing all of the approaches to working with clay are celebrated. Experimenting, investigation, and executing many different techniques in ceramics through wheel throwing, sculpture, and functional art while learning to work with airdry, Sculpey, and stoneware clays. We have a ton of messy fun! Please bring a snack, lunch, and water bottle. $60 materials fee due on first day of camp.
Have fun and adventure in this exploratory art camp. Campers will explore art throughout the community including field trips to art galleries, museums and local art studios. Interactive art activities including painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media. Campers will create a portfolio of art to share with family and friends with stories at the end of the week. Drop off no earlier than 9:00 am. No extended care available.
Learn the Skills to Create a 3D Creature of Your Own Design.
Super groovy, one of a kind fantastical, creatures born from your imagination. This class combines learning how to manipulate fabric, paper, paint, clay, wood, thread, Mod Podge, resin, and found objects with endless possibilities. While sculpting your vision, you will be telling their story.
If you have some art background, come share your skills. If you’re new to this art, be ready to explore. With some patience, a bit of dexterity, and a love for fantasy, we will share our ideas, and most importantly, respect each other’s individuality.
