The Diwali Play Date is the brainchild of two moms-turned-entrepreneurs who wanted to take their little kids to an event just like this one. There were options galore for fancy parties for grown-ups and outdoor melas filled with vendors, but nothing quite like this. So, as typical entrepreneurs, they turned their challenge into an idea. And just like that, Diwali Play Date was born in 2022 in Los Angeles.

Now in its 4th year, we're bringing the magic of Diwali to the Bay Area for the first time, featuring the masti, music, mehndi, and mess (yes, there will be that!) of all things Diwali. If you've caught glimpses of our past events, then you know we take fun pretty seriously around here.

Come dressed in your favorite, comfortable, and culturally festive wear for a jam-packed afternoon of delights for all your senses. Kids will get to create beautiful rangolis with colored rice and lentils, let loose during the dance workshop, and so, SO, SO much more.
