Earth Day Weekend Habitat Restoration with Marin Stables

Join us to help protect and celebrate the beautiful biodiversity of Mt. Tamalpais on Earth Day weekend at the Marin Stables! We will focus on patches of invasive French broom along the Canyon and Moore trails. 

This family-friendly activity is suitable for ages 8 and up, with parental supervision required for volunteers under 16. All first-time volunteers must sign our Volunteer Service Agreement, and all volunteers under 18 must have the form signed by a parent or guardian. Tools, gloves, food, and water are provided to volunteers. Only those who register will be guaranteed lunch. Please dress for variable weather and bring a water bottle. Call 415-945-1128 after 7 a.m. the morning of the event for updates in case of extreme weather.

Meeting location is the Marin Stables parking lot. Directions from Sir Francis Drake: From downtown Fairfax, turn onto Bolinas-Fairfax Road. Less than a mile down the road, turn left onto Porteous Avenue; keep right at every turn (Porteous Ave, Wood Lane) until you are at the Marin Stables parking lot. THIS IS A NARROW ROAD - please drive slowly to be respectful of the neighborhood and make it to this event safe and sound.
