He studied Shakespeare in Oxford (Oxbridge Tradition) as a youth and earned his BA in Theater Arts from UCLA. He earned his MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University, worked for five years in the SFMOMA Collections Department, and five years at San Francisco Opera Guild. He is currently on the Advisory Council for San Francisco Opera’s BRAVO! Club as well.
