The Sausalito Police Department will host a block party in front of the police station at 29 Caledonia Street from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6. Everyone is invited.

The occasion is National Night Out, an annual event celebrated across the United States to foster connections between community members and the police officers tasked with keeping them safe.

This year's National Night Out in Sausalito will feature:

• Free food.

• Tours of the police station.

• Shave ice from Kona Ice.

• A bounce house for kids.

• Cornhole.

• The opportunity to chat with officers in a relaxed setting.

Information booths will also be on hand for residents to learn more about the programs and services offered by the Sausalito Police Department.
