Ball drops at 12:00 pm | 1:00 pm | 2:00 pm

Want to ring in the New Year with your family and friends but have a bedtime before midnight? No problem! Celebrate the arrival of 2026 at the Purple Museum by participating in the “countdown to midnight across time zones” with family hugs, performances from special guest Choo Choo Soul, and the Museum’s version of the famous Ball Drop in Times Square with lots of confetti. At the different drops, “shoutouts” are given to different countries and what people in those countries might be doing at that time. Kids can create their own party hats, set goals for the new year at our Resolution Station, and sing and dance along with hundreds of other children for a joyful celebration.
