Celebrate the diverse heritage of the Sunol Wilderness at the Sunol Heritage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy live music, Ohlone storytelling, crafts, and traditions, and all kinds of old-timey ranch activities and games. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the park! This is a free event with a $5 parking fee.

Cafe OhloneThe only Ohlone restaurant in the world will be sharing their culture with acorn brownies and herbal tea offerings while supplies last. Live Music - Polka CowboysBring your dancing shoes to boogie down to folk classics by the barn. Ohlone StorytellingGather around to hear and share cultural stories. Ensamble Folclórico ColibríPromoting cultural heritage through traditional dance and music.

There are Family Friendly Activities throughout the Day:

  • Make your own "brand"ed bandanna while learning about local ranching brands in the area.

  • Discover how tule can be used for many uses as you create your own miniature tule boat. 

  • Learn how pine nuts are not just a food as you create a traditional pine nut bead bracelet. 

  • Other activities include: old timey laundry, Ohlone games, Victorian-era games, meeting poppy our wooden milking cow, learning to lasso, and more!
