Hear the soulful call of the shofar, make hands-on holiday crafts, drum to joyful rhythms with Drummm, and discover the remarkable world of honeybees with the SF Beekeepers Association. Then enjoy apples, honey, and other sweet tastes of the season as you celebrate fresh beginnings and all the possibilities of the year ahead.
Event Schedule
10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Rosh Hashanah rituals, kid-friendly crafts, bee exploration, holiday flavors, and music with Melita Silberstein.
11:45 am: Bring in the Jewish New Year with Rhythm of Renewal, a joyful, all-ages DRUMMM Circle led by Jeni Swerdlow, MA-ATR, founder of DRUMMM Rhythmic Events. Together, we’ll celebrate new beginnings, honor the cycles of life, and welcome the year ahead—one beat at a time. No musical experience needed. Drums and percussion provided
Give Back for the New Year
As we begin the year with gratitude and generosity, help support neighbors experiencing food insecurity by bringing non-perishable food or household essentials for our High Holidays Food Drive. Collection bins will be available in our atrium from August 30 – September 30.
