Get ready for 97 minutes of nonstop laughter as three fearless actors take on all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in one wildly entertaining performance. Featuring Rio Codda, Matt Cowell, and Sofia Quiñones, and directed by Olivia Cowell, this fast-paced comedy is packed with outrageous characters, lightning-fast costume changes, physical comedy, clever improvisation, and audience interaction.
Originally created by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) has become a worldwide theatrical phenomenon. Since its premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987, it has been translated into dozens of languages and remains one of the most-produced plays in the world. Whether you are a lifelong Shakespeare enthusiast or are convinced you hated him in high school, this hilarious sprint through the Bard’s complete canon has something for everyone. Expect sword fights, romance, tragedy, comedy, and plenty of surprises, all delivered at breakneck speed.
Before the show, stroll up to the lawn at di Rosa Preserve and take in the surrounding artwork and landscape. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or low-profile chair, though a limited number of Adirondack chairs will be available onsite. Attendees are also welcome to bring a picnic dinner and a bottle of wine to enjoy during the evening.
Shakespeare has never been this funny—or this artfully scenic.
