Join Sports Basement and Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco for the 3rd annual "Virtual" Halloween 5K/10K: a very special (and spooky!) 5K/10K race to raise funds for one of our oldest and dearest partners, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF). 100% of registration fees and donations go directly to BGCSF. Please help us reach our goal of $100,000 for an amazing organization that inspires and enables all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Sports Basement shares this commitment to youth and our communities.
Due to the continued threat of COVID-19, this years event will be held virtually. While we cannot all run together, we can still get dressed up in amazing Halloween costumes and raise some much needed funds for an organization whose importance cannot be overstated, especially during these turbulent times.
You can still choose between a 5K, 10K or Kids 1 Mile Challenge. You can run or walk any of the events anytime between Friday, October 30th to Sunday, November 1st, 2020. Regardless of when you run or walk the event, costumes are highly encouraged and awarded.
You can run or walk the course anywhere, however, if you start or finish at any of the 10 Bay Area Sports Basement locations or any of the BGCSF Clubhouses (Friday the 30th ONLY), you can be entered into additional award categories. Once complete you can upload your results to your personal Race Roster dashboard.
We are also strongly encouraging every runner to activate and share their individual fundraising pages (link in confirmation email). For everyone who raises $100 or more, their entry fee can be refunded, although we remind you that 100% of your registration fees go directly to BGCSF.
