The timing is perfect for all witches and goblins to come out and howl at the Moon as it rises above the East Bay Hills. As we creep up to the top of Albany HIll to to haunt from on high. Have a picnic and observe the phenomenon around us.
Bring some gear and take some shots. If you want to bring a lot of gear and not do the hike up and back, down carrying it on your back, there is an alternative for the avid, non-backpacking photogs.
Take the Buchanan St. exit of I-80 or I-580.
At the Jackson St. traffic light make a left.
Go to Hillside Ave and make a hairpin left.
Continue to the intersection of Hillside Ave. and Taft St. and make another hairpin turning right onto Taft St.
Drive to the end of Taft St and park.
Look for the concrete accessibility path and walk to the end.
Meet the group that is hiking up here at the semi-circle of big logs.

As far as meeting location, it is as follows:
There are several small streets that deadend at Creekside Park. The Park is on the northern border of El Cerrito and Richmond, and along the border with Albany. (Yosemite Ave., Belmont Ave. and Santa Clara St. are the three deadend steets that stop at Creekside Park.
Instead of allowing guests, everyone must make their own reservation, please. If guests are not members, just join the Meetup group.
