The annual Green Fest Block Party is on Sunday, March 15, 2025, outside the Irish Center SF at 45th Ave & Wawona.

The United Irish Cultural Center, Java Beach at the Zoo, United Irish Societies, and Cooley Keegan Comhaltas presents GREEN FEST 2025—family friendly St. Patrick's Day celebration and a cherished Sunset tradition! A block of 45th Ave is closed off to traffic in front of the Irish Center between Sloat and Wawona where guests will enjoy food/beverage, entertainment, Irish dancers, live music, pipers, vendors, children's activities, and more.

Enjoy browsing booths and vendors including Orla Daly and Irish Castle Gifts; Marie Mallon and Treasure Ireland; Theresa Mallon and Roisin Rince; Jill Rosenberg Ceramics; Gerry Kelly and Sonas Fashion; and other community organizations.

Food options include Shepherd's pies (veg available); grilled cheeses and hot dogs, and Carlos Mora Taco Truck later in the afternoon. Get your sweets and treats from Ireland and fresh soda bread from the UICC Irish Shoppe (noon-5pm).

For the kids there will be a bounce house as well as face painting available.

The Dowling Library will be open from noon-5 pm, so check out the latest titles and offerings— and bring the kids for stickers and coloring sheets!

Family friendly; no cover charge. You must show proof of age 21 + to purchase alcohol.
