The holiday season is a time of joy, happiness, family, and friendship. This year, the Redwood City Police and Fire Department, PAL Center, and Parks Recreation and Community Services, have teamed up yet again with The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League, San Carlos Fire Department, Woodside Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Redwood City 330 Squad Club, and the CARON Project in order to continue our annual Redwood City / San Mateo County Christmas Toy and Book Drive. With help from the Fair Oaks Community Center and a corps of volunteers, this annual event has become a welcomed tradition in the Redwood City community. This tradition can only happen with the community’s help.

Last year, over 130 local businesses filled 150+ donation barrels with toys. In return, these toys were provided to over 800 families that needed assistance. Deliveries usually take place with Santa Claus riding in a police car or a fire engine and personally delivering presents to kids and families. This priceless experience gives the kids a thrill they’ll long remember.
