The Santa Rosa Veterans Tribute luncheon was begun in 2001 under the guidance of the former Mayor of Santa Rosa and Santa Rosa East Rotarian, Bob Blanchard. It continued annually honoring veterans until the Covid pandemic. After an absence of four years, it was very successfully returned in 2024.
In 2025 the scope of the event is broadened by outreach to all Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, and veterans’ organizations in Sonoma County.
Veterans are welcome to a free gourmet sack lunch, with outstanding musical entertainment and keynote speaker, Colonel (ret) Misty Zelk, the medical director at Spring Lake Village and a former Iraqi Freedom combat physician. Representative Mike Thompson will also be a presenter.
