Magic Show, 4pm, Thrills and chills await us as our Magician amazes us with Halloween magic combining comedy, audience participation and amazing magic to create a spooktacular 45 minutes show for goblins ages 3 to 103! Mill Valley Community Center.

Trunk or Treat, 4:30 - 6:30pm, It is a fun, free event for the community where families come to the community center parking lot and "trick-or-treat" from decorated car trunks.  Free music, activities, face-painting for kids and more! Mill Valley Community Center.

Epic Tam for the Whole Fam, 11am-1pm, Bring the kids and enjoy an epic but easy, family-friendly, with incredible views from the Verna Dunshee trail and discover plants and animals along the way.

Halloween Hoopla, 11-3pm, Trick-or-Treat So Others Can Eat at Bon Air welcomes costumed kids, families and pets to a day-long Halloween Hoopla with trick-or-treating at restaurants and shops, live music, face painting, pet caricaturist, pumpkin decorating and the start of its annual canned food drive, Bon Air Center, Greenbrae.

Boo at the Zoo, 11am-4pm, a  "not-too-spooky" Halloween family festival where you can trick-or-treat around the Zoo and see the animals enjoy pumpkin treats, San Francisco Zoo.

Family Matinees, 11am, ages 5-12, provide a window into the exciting world of live jazz and feature amazing artists from around the globe! This month is The SFJAZZ Collective, SF Jazz Center, Miner Auditorium, San Francisco.

Halloween at the Village, 12-3pm, Participating retailers will hand out candy to costumed trick-or-treaters on Saturday from noon–3 pm. Look for strolling costumed characters who will have treats to pass out as well, The Village at Corte Madera.

3rd Annual Not-So-Spooky Halloween Party, 1–3pm, ghoulish games, creepy crafts, and terrible treats! Free, Marin City Library.

Meet & Greet: Nostalgic Blood With Author J.Crockett, 2pm, Barnes & Noble, Corte Madera.

Pumpkins on Pikes, 2-10pm, one of those very special events where magic is created and experienced by all who attend. The festivities start in the afternoon with great food, music and pumpkin carving. Everyone will get the chance to display their Jack-O-Lantern on a pike in the corn field. When the sun goes down the pumpkins are lit. It is a truly heart warming feeling looking over the glowing corn field to see the individual creations of all who attend, Tara Firma Farms, Petaluma.

Woodland Pet Food Halloween DOGtoberfest & Costume Contest, 3-6, free pet photos, pet sketch artist, pet psychic, animal rescue organizations and adoptions + more! Plus, there will be a Howl’oween Pet Costume Contest as well as free Center-wide trick or treating for kids and their families, Strawberry Village, Mill Valley.

Graveyard Stroll, 7pm, uncovers one of Marin’s most interesting, but little known cemeteries. All treats (and tricks) are free. Marin County Parks Lucas Valley Field Office in San Rafael.

Nature for Kids: Indian Tree, 10am – 1pm, We’ll head up the hill and visit several different forest habitats. We’ll go through one area that is completely shaded by bay trees, then we’ll walk up an oak covered hill, and finally end up in a little grove of redwoods. Meet at the trailhead on Vineyard Rd in Novato.

First Act: The Magic Flute Adventure, 10-11:30am & 11:30am–12:30pm, ages 3-6, workshop led by San Francisco Opera Teaching Artists, San Francisco.
