To Father's Day and Beyond

Yesterday was Father's Day. Just one day - why stop there? Here are three fun opportunities to not only spend quality time with your kids but enjoy the company of other dads for the rest of the year.

Dads with young children, check out MarinDads. It is a community for fathers in Marin. MarinDads is a great resource. They have an online forum, monthly daddy dinners and events with kids. Every dad is welcome and it is free to join.

For the elementary school years, Adventure Guides (father-son) and Adventure Princesses (father-daughter, formerly Indian Princesses) are programs designed to support and strengthen the father-child relationship during their elementary school years. Start building memories now that will last a lifetime for you and your child. The Marin YMCA can help organize a "circle", a group of fathers and their children, organized and led by a Navigator. They also organize events every 4-6 weeks throughout the year such as a campout, father-daughter banquet, pinewood derby and more. For more information contact, 446-2152, mdelagnes@ymcasf.org.
