Teen Review: The San Francisco Ballet by Nicole Fuches & Sam Glickman

The San Francisco Ballet is performing their annual Nutcracker through the holiday season, and my friends and I had the chance to go last night. What we thought stood out the most was the snow scene with Sasha de Sola and Benjamin Freemantle because of their ability to go beyond the technical requirements to a level of in depth of artistry that drew in the audience. Also, there was high energy all around, but especially with the three Russian dancers, whose enthusiasm got the audience to clap along. Overall, an amazing production that all should attend!

The #SFBNutcracker runs between now and December 29th, 2018.

On Christmas Eve 1944, the audience at San Francisco’s War Memorial Opera House experienced the American premiere of Nutcracker. An instant sensation, the ballet launched a national holiday tradition.

This holiday season, join us as the lights dim, the music soars, snowflakes swirl, flowers dance, and a little girl dreams about a whole new world in a Nutcracker that is as unique as it is magical. And it's only at SF Ballet.
