Bike to Wherever Days is the region’s signature event designed to engage and introduce people to the benefits of bicycling for daily use. The event provides an inviting opportunity to embrace bike riding as a sustainable commuting option and a way to improve health, wellness, and reduce traffic congestion.
An energizer station is a road-side bike outreach station with snacks and drinks, Bike to Wherever Day info, free goodies and giveaways, and lots of good cheer for all of the bicyclists out on the street on the biggest bike day of the year.
Bike to Wherever Day is San Francisco’s favorite biking holiday. The Bay Area Bike to Wherever Days (BTWD) started more than 30 years ago to celebrate biking as a fun commute option, reducing reliance on cars, and promoting wellness.
