Discovering Nature Together: The Power of a Bioblitz

These events are fun, family-friendly, and open to everyone. They provide valuable data for researchers while showcasing the incredible biodiversity of the Bay Area and across California.
We’ll explore how bats navigate and forage in total darkness, the important pest-control services they provide, and the conservation challenges they face. We’ll also discover how ultraviolet light reveals glowing arthropods such as scorpions and millipedes, uncovering a surprising and beautiful side of nighttime nature.
