Marin Volunteer Fair
/ Ronnie SharpeThe Volunteer Fair is an excellent way for individuals to connect with nonprofits to learn more about volunteer and engagement opportunities in Marin communities. The event will include a wide range of organizations so everyone can find a volunteer opportunity they are passionate about while enjoying food, entertainment and more!
The following nonprofits are excited to meet you and have fun activities prepared such as trivia, arts & crafts, planting native plants, photo ops, storytelling and more. There will also be raffle baskets and food trucks (Red Whale Coffee, Banh Mi Zon, Kona Ice, and The Grilled Cheez Guy) in attendance.
Community Action Marin is Marin County’s anti-poverty agency and the largest social service nonprofit. At Community Action Marin, they break down the barriers that get in the way of anyone in our community being able to support themselves, and each other. Community members come to the agency because they have a need for one of their services. The agency’s bilingual and bicultural staff ensures that people are heard—from immediate needs to making long-lasting change a reality in support of equity and well-being for all. Services include free and affordable, early chiildhood education, homeless outreach and care management for adults and transitional aged youth, emergency assistance, help applying for public benefits such as the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).MediCal, or Calfresh, financial coaching, job training, and more.
