7 Ways To Observe Veterans Day Across The Bay

Growing up as an air force brat, it is a great honor to celebrate my father, grandpa and all U.S. military veterans for their service and and dedication to the freedoms we have. Here is a list of Veteran's Day events in the Bay Area.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11th

Veterans' Day Service, 9:30am, Honor those who have served our country. Marinโ€™s Veteransโ€™ Day program will begin in the Marin Veteransโ€™ Memorial Auditorium with music, military exercises and a brief address. It will continue in front of the World War I, World War II and Korean, Vietnam and Merchant Marine Memorials on the Avenue of the Flags. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony in the Redwood Foyer, Marin Veteransโ€™ Memorial Auditorium, San Rafael.

Marin City Veteran's Day Parade, 10-11am, Featuring  a Liberty Ship Float, a 1940's Greyhound bus, the Oakland Cowboy Association, and original Marinship workers as Grand Marshalls. 

Veteran's Day Cruise on San Francisco Bay, 11am, A two and 1/2 hour cruise on San Francisco Bay featuring the Alameda Naval Station, USS Hornet, Jeremiah O'Brien and the submarine Pampanito. Complimentary coffee, tea and water will be available.

Interfaith Service of Remembrance, 11:00 am, at the Main Post Chapel of the The Interfaith Center at the Presidio, 130 Fisher Loop, San Francisco. Come honor American veterans of all wars in prayer, meditation and music. 

San Jose Veteran's Day Parade, 10am, memorial ceremony at Plaza de Cesar Chavez on Market Street. The colorful parade steps off at 11am from Delmas Street, continuing east along Santa Clara to Market Street, then ending at San Carlos Street.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 12th
