Growing up as an air force brat, it is a great honor to celebrate my father, grandpa, and all U.S. military veterans for their service and for giving us the freedoms we have. Here is a list of Veteran's Day events in the Bay Area.

San Francisco Veteran's Day Parade, 11am, The parade will start at Market & Second Streets and proceed down Market right on McAllister to City Hall. There is a lot of conflicting information online and organizers do not have an official website. I spoke directly to City Hall in San Francisco who confirmed that this information is correct.

Veterans' Day Service, 9:30am, music, military exercises and a brief address, refreshments served after the ceremony, Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium, San Rafael.

Veteran's Day Cruise on San Francisco Bay, 11am, A two and 1/2 hour cruise featuring the Alameda Naval Station, USS Hornet, Jeremiah O'Brien and the submarine Pampanito. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Veterans Day Service at Presidio Chapel, 11am-1pm, 130 Fisher Loop, San Francisco.
