Are you interested in being a CIT. (“Counselor-In-Training”) this summer? CIT.s work closely with the camp staff at a variety of our camps. A CIT. is a camper enrolled in a specialized camp leadership program that works closely with our summer camps. Through practical experience and various training workshops, each session will include daily training topics such as behavior management, risk management/safety awareness, communication, decision making, program planning and team building.
Each CIT. is required to attend mandatory training dates and will not be eligible to participate in the program if training is missed. Each CIT. will receive certification in American Red Cross CPR/FA. Campers will accrue volunteer hours and be awarded a Certificate of Volunteerism at the end of each week of service. Throughout the week, Camp Director will oversee various job skills taught such as resume building, interviewing skills and provide a formal performance evaluation to each CIT.

Though every week is unique, one thing is guaranteed: kids will always be able to get in, climb on or operate creations of their very own design. Teenagers are encouraged to apply to our overnight camp or to check out our junior collaborator opportunities!
