Día de Muertos is an annual Meso-American holiday dedicated to our ancestors and loved ones now gone. We celebrate the Day of the Dead on November 2nd by creating sacred space with art installations, performances and a walking procession, which help us contemplate our personal existence, mortality, and celebration of life.

Our free community celebration will be held on Saturday, November 1st at the Albert J. Boro Community Center at Pickleweed Park. We will also continue traditions created for our pandemic years celebrations, including a car procession through San Rafael, and altars in downtown San Rafael storefronts.
