FOSTER CITY: Halloween Spooktacular

Join Us for the 2025 Halloween Festival! 

Get ready for a spooktacular time at this year’s Halloween Festival, happening on Saturday, October 25 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM! Enjoy a fun-filled day with games, entertainment, and trick-or-treating for kids ages 2–12.

Registration opens October 1 – preregistration is required; no walk-ups will be accepted.

Ticket Options:

  • Entrance Only (No Trick-or-Treating): $5 Resident / $7 Non-Resident

  • Entrance + Trick-or-Treating (Ages 2–12): $10 Resident / $12 Non-Resident

Please note, children under the age of 10 with a Trick-or-Treat ticket must be accompanied by an adult who has a valid Entrance ticket.

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Trick-or-Treating (Ages 2–12)

12:45 PM: Costume Contest Entry Closes

1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Costume Contest & Kids' Fashion Show

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Spooky Magic Show

Come in costume, bring your treat bags, and get ready for an afternoon full of Halloween fun!

Trick-or-Treat Trail Information 

Trick-or-treating stations will be open from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM during the Halloween Festival.

Local businesses and community organizations will host festive booths and hand out treats along the trail. All candy will be pre-packaged and distributed from sealed bags, which will only be opened at the start of the event to ensure safety and freshness.

Please Note:

  • Pre-registration is required for all participants.

  • Each child may walk through the trick-or-treat trail one time only.

  • Children under the age of 10 with a Trick-or-Treat ticket must be accompanied by an adult who has a valid Entrance ticket.

Our Annual Costume Contest is Back! All festival attendees are invited to participate—just register on site by 12:45pm (no extra fee required).

Categories include:

  • Best Individual

  • Best Group

  • Most Creative

  • Best Pet Costume (yes, pets in costume are welcome!)

The contest kicks off in the amphitheater at 1:00pm with a short fashion show so judges can see all the costumes. Winners will be announced shortly after and featured on Foster City Recreation’s social media pages. 

Participants must be present in the amphitheater to win.

Magic Show

The fun continues after the Costume Contest—join us in the amphitheater at 1:30pm for an amazing Magic Show full of illusions and entertainment for all ages.
