Kids Cooking for Life engages children and families in nutrition lessons and hands-on cooking classes. Studies show that when children are actively engaged in choosing their food and learning to cook, they are empowered to develop life-long healthy eating habits.

Hunger and poor access to healthy food are realities for people of low income in Marin, despite the county’s general affluence. Over the past year, food insecurity among the individuals and families we serve intensified and grew. #FiveMinutesforFood

San Francisco-Marin Food Bank envisions a community where everyone is able to obtain enough nutritious food to support the health and well-being of themselves and their families.

Ceres Community Project energizes communities by linking what we eat and how we care for each other with the health of people and planet.

Whistlestop Meals on Wheels delivers fresh, chilled meals up to three times each week to more than 250 housebound older adults in our community.

Our Mission is to prevent homelessness and improve the health and well-being of individuals and families who are homeless or low-income by providing a range of culturally sensitive, easily accessible, high quality medical care and social services.

GLIDE’s Daily Free Meals Program provides three nutritious meals a day, 364 days a year, to the city’s poor, homeless and hungry. What began in 1969 as a weekly volunteer-run potluck for 50 people now serves around 2,000 meals a day. As GLIDE’s largest program, it serves as a gateway to GLIDE’s other programs and services.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin continues to serve free meals throughout this crisis, as we have every day since we opened our Free Dining Room in 1981, ensuring that no one goes hungry in Marin.

Our vision is that no child grows up hungry in the United States. By empowering schools with the resources and knowledge they need to feed kids – every day, 365 days a year – we can transform our schools into “nutrition hubs” for all students and ensure our country provides hungry children the food they need to learn, grow and succeed. Breakfast in the Bay Area, is only the beginning.

We have over 300 distribution sites in the five counties we serve: Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte.

Alameda County Community Food Bank passionately pursues a hunger-free community. Children, adults and seniors of Alameda County do not worry about where their next meal is coming from.

We are focused on nourishing our neighbors today and advocating for a hunger-free tomorrow.

We work to promote equity and social justice so that all residents of San Mateo County thrive. We connect immigrant & BIPOC communities to housing, environmental justice, and safety net services.

Hunger at Home partners with local convention centers, hotels, and sports stadiums throughout Silicon Valley to collect excess food and goods. This food and goods are then distributed to hungry and homeless individuals through a robust nonprofit network.

Open Heart Kitchen is the largest hot meal program of its kind in the Tri­-Valley Area of Northern California, feeding the hungry across multiple locations in Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin. There is no qualifying process and meals may be eaten at numerous serving sites or taken to go. Guests come from all walks of life and Open Heart Kitchen has become a safety net to those in need during challenging times. Last year, Open Heart Kitchen served more than 500,000 meals to those who needed it.
