Pre-teens Pola and Polly are inseparable friends who spend the long summer days at Splish Splash, the local pool, where Polly’s mom runs the concession stand. When the pool shuts down for lengthy repairs, Polly’s family departs Switzerland for Canada in search of steady work, leaving Pola heartbroken about losing her BFF and angry at her village for closing the coolest spot in town. With the help of Rosalie, the smartest (and geekiest) girl in her class, Pola plots to reopen Splish Splash, recruiting friends—and former enemies—to her side.
