Roller Disco Daze
Marin Center presents Roller Disco Daze, a free community roller skating experience on Lagoon Island at the Marin County Fairgrounds. Running Wednesdays through Sundays, July 17 through August 16, the rink is open to all ages and skill levels, with themed nights every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to keep things lively all summer long.
Skate beneath a disco ball surrounded by the lagoon, then cool down with lawn games, explore art installations by local artists on display, and don't miss the giant inflatable skate for the ultimate photo opp. A DJ spins on-site beginning at 12 pm every Friday-Sunday to keep the music on point and the vibes rolling. Food from Manny's Tacos will be on-site all days of the event, and Lobo's Ice Cream will be available July 17-19 and July 24-26.
Admission is free. Skate rentals and safety gear, including kids' sizes, are available on-site for $5. All skaters must sign a waiver; skaters under 18 require a parent or guardian signature.

Skatin' Place
A popular destination for local and visiting roller skaters alike, Skatin' Place in Golden Gate Park is located along the JFK Promenade near 6th Avenue and Fulton.
A new ground mural featuring a golden roller skate surrounded by a psychedelic pattern adds new color to a legendary skating spot.
The 28-foot by 93-foot oval mural, painted over asphalt and located between Sixth Avenue and John F. Kennedy Drive, was created by Bay Area artist and longtime Golden Gate Park skater Aimee (Bruckner) Stevland. Utilizing a vibrant color palette of yellow, orange, red, teal, and purple asphalt acrylic paint, the innovative design—titled Psychedelic Golden Gate Skate—pays tribute to the park’s roller skating history, referencing the Golden Gate Bridge and featuring a roller skate in the center circle.
