A Family Read-Aloud Dinner at The Depot

On Wednesday, September 30, we're setting aside an evening for families: dinner together, then a read-aloud of the opening chapters of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, C.S. Lewis's beloved tale of four children who find a doorway into Narnia.

Best for kids ages 7 and up, and for every grown-up who remembers the first time they heard it. Our reader for the evening is John Pearce, lifelong book lover and frontman of Musical Feast.

How the evening works

5:30 PM: Arrive and order dinner from a special kids & family menu
6:00 PM: The reading begins (the story starts at the beginning, and so should you)

Kids are welcome to bring a blanket or pillow and settle into a listening area, close to the story, while parents enjoy the rest of their evening at tables nearby.

The reading is free to attend; sign-ups help us plan the room and the kitchen.
