Come and feel the heartbeat of Africa, right here in Los Gatos!

It’s a celebration of everything that makes Africa and her people great—our history, our music, our stories, our culture. We're bringing you a mix of Afrobeat(s), live performances, and speeches about things that matter, like climate change, environmental stewardship, and how our culture is evolving.

Mayor Matthew Hudes of Los Gatos will be joining us to give the opening speech.

Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga, District 5 Santa Clara County will join us to give the Keynote Address. In attendance with her will be Marico Sayoc, Former Mayor of Los Gatos and Chief of Staff to the Supervisor.

There will be live performances by:

- Nigerian Yoruba Folk Emsemble- Daniel Royal Group

- ⁠Spoken Word by Poetic Butterfly

- ⁠DJ Set

- ⁠Diverse African Culture Showcase

So what’s Africa Day about?

May 25th is Africa Day, a day we honor the unity, strength, freedom, resilience and journey of the African continent. It’s a time to reflect on where we've been and where we're headed. This day is for celebrating all things African—our heritage, our influence, and the progress we’re making across the globe.
