Celebrate 20 Years in the Making with MCD during our MakeArt Family Day 20-Year Birthday Party!

Get ready for an extra festive MakeArt Family Day because MCD is celebrating turning 20! Reminisce on the past 20 years by revisiting some of our favorite MakeArt activities like Maia Scott’s soap sculpture activity and Saoirse Byrne’s upcycled cordage project, then create audible stitched stories with Liz Hernández and Charlene Lu’s Interactive Embroidery.

Visitors can also celebrate with personalized party hats and explore our new exhibitions, Mr. Roboto and Indie Folk: New Art and Sounds from the Pacific Northwest, with repurposed material bracelets and Rae Lanzerotti’s human–robot translations. Swing by MakeArt Family and join in the birthday celebrations.
