Dig It, Grow It, Eat It, Part 1--Roots, Stems and Leaves

On Saturday, September 12, at 11AM, the award-winning Marin Master Gardeners children’s program Dig It, Grow It, Eat It is coming to the Larkspur Library virtually. Did you know that the fruits and vegetables we eat all have important jobs? We will be exploring the six edible plant parts and what their job is in a two-part fun and interactive workshop. Part 1 will focus on roots, stems, and leaves. Part 2 will focus on flowers, fruits, and seeds. Both sessions will feature a guided “Eat the Rainbow” snack of fruit and veggies and how each color benefits a certain part of their body thanks to phytonutrients. Join us live online and dig into a deeper understanding of fruit and vegetables. This is a two-part zoom seminar, with the second half taking place on Saturday, September 26 at 11AM. Pre-registration is required, and it is expected to fill quickly. Please see our event calendar for more information.
