The San Mateo County Fair is the Peninsula’s premier community event for Bay Area family fun and entertainment. The San Mateo County Fair strives to provide a diverse experience through education, inspiration and entertainment. The nine-day fair represents a celebration of our community's talent, interests, innovations and rich agricultural, and artistic heritage.
Highlights of the San Mateo County Fair include the animals! Explore the reptiles and animals in the Rainforest Adventure. Cheer on the racing pigs. Visit the 4-H & FFA barn. Get up close with the animals in the Great American Petting Zoo.
And of course, there are carnival rides—more than two dozen! Climb aboard the Ex-Scream Machine for a thrilling trip over the tracks. Or try the Freak Out, towering 70 feet high. For the littles there are fun rides, too, like the Tea Cups and the Bear Affair. Are you hungry?
Savor your fair favorites, including deep fried treats, funnel cakes, BBQ’s, pizzas, burgers, smoothies, ice creams, and more. However, there are healthy fair food choices on the menus! Several of food concessionaires participate in the healthy food fare at the San Mateo County Fair, a collaborative effort with the San Mateo County Public Health Nutrition. Get ready to bust a move! Included with fair admission are free celebrity concerts and shows on the main stage in Fiesta Hall.
San Mateo County Fair’s 2018 Concert Series final lineup is: Sheila E. (June 9); TLC (June 10); Sugar Ray (June 13), Pablo Cruise (June 14), Average White Band (June 15), and John Michael Montgomery (June 16). World-renowned Master Illusionist Peter Gossamer will perform on June 11 and 12.
