Marin Art and Garden Center is delighted to welcome back Ousseynou Kouyate, renowned African singer and dancer.

Makuru is created by Peter Warren and features Ousseynou Kouyate, renowned African singer and dancer from the National Ballet of Senegal. He also toured with Senegalese superstar Youssou N’Dour, who famously sang on Peter Gabriel’s song, “In Your Eyes”.

Makuru features top Bay Area world musicians on bass, guitar, drum set and traditional African instruments.

We are partnering with Ray's Catering this year to bring you fabulous barbecue entrees grilled on site, plus delicious sides, all available for purchase.

Bring your picnic, refillable water bottle, blanket, low-backed lawn chairs (we provide folding chairs), family, and friends. Beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase! Outside alcohol will not be permitted.
