Peace Fest Returns for Its 12th Year with a Weekend Celebrating the Power of Peace

Join us at the Center on September 18-20 for three days of music, art, workshops, film and opportunities for reflection, healing and connection 

This year marks the 12th annual San Geronimo Valley Community Center International Day of Peace Festival, affectionately known as Peace Fest. Founded by Ted Wright and April Wolcott, the festival has grown through their vision and the Community Center's ongoing partnership, evolving in meaningful ways each year while remaining rooted in its mission of inspiring peace, connection, and community. This year's celebration takes place Friday through Sunday, September 18–20, offering three days of music, art, workshops, film, and opportunities for reflection, healing, and connection.

Peace Fest Weekend at a Glance

Friday, September 18

5:30 p.m. – Reception (Lagunitas 8th Grade Civil Rights trip fundraiser)

6:30 p.m. – San Quentin Film Festival screenings: Feature length Healing Through Hula plus two short films, Processing and Exonerated.

Following the films – Panel discussion moderated by Alexa Davidson

Saturday, September 19

6 p.m. – Community Crystal Bowl Sound Bath with Sophia Luce

(The Soundbath will be outside in our Courtyard. Please bring a yoga mat, pad(s), and blanket. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to sit.)

Sunday, September 20 – Art & Music Festival

2 p.m. – Festival begins • Blessing by Henry Frank • Art exhibits & family activities

2:15 p.m. – Orquestra de Reciclados de Cateura

3 p.m. – Enriching Lives Through Music (ELM)

4:30 p.m. – AgapéSoul (Headliner)
