Redwood City: San Francisco Shakespeare Festival: Antony and Cleopatra

  • Redwood City's Red Morton Park 752 Valota Rd Redwood City, CA, 94061 United States (map)

Our 44th season of Free Shakespeare in the Park brings you Antony and Cleopatra, directed by Katja Rivera.  Since 1983, as part of SF Shakes’ mission to make Shakespeare accessible to all, we’ve brought our Free Shakes production to audiences around the SF Bay Area; no tickets or Shakespeare experience required.

Set against the backdrop of the Roman Empire and Egypt, Antony and Cleopatra examines the conflict between duty and desire, and the impact of personal relationships on political power. Performing for thousands this July through September, the play travels from Cupertino’s Memorial Park, to Redwood City’s Red Morton Park, then San Francisco’s McLaren and Sue Bierman Parks.

The show runs approximately 90 minutes; there is no intermission.
