Trick-or-Treating

Come in costume and follow the BOO Trail trick-or-treating stations throughout the park. This is a FREE, safe, & family-friendly experience for all ages to collect candy throughout BOO Alley!

The Great Big BOO is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from September 25 through November 1. Please note the park is closed for a private event on Saturday, October 10.

“Do the BOO” at the live musical show that started it all! You’ll meet a charming cast of characters including Vinnie the Vampire and Frankie the Lounge Singer in a wacky adventure to save Halloween from the curse of Wendella the Witch.

Tricks & Treats on the BOO Trail

Come in costume and follow the BOO Trail throughout the park to go trick-or-treating for candy.

Note: We encourage parents to dress up too, but ask that all costumes remain family-friendly. Weapons and masks that cover the entire face are not allowed.

Interactive Pumpkin Wands

Help save Halloween with your Interactive Pumpkin Wand! Find all 8 BOO Zones to uncover the hidden message. Wand blows bubbles, lights up, and more. Available at carts and shops.

Frightfully Fun Bites

The Great Big BOO offers delicious delights for all ages—like loaded jumbo potatoes, apple pumpkin funnel cake, and kid-friendly drinks with a magical twist. Adults can sip “spooky” cocktails like BOO Butter Brew or Hocus Pocus Punch while the little monsters enjoy treats bursting with flavor and fun!

FREE Books and Garlic Goodies!

October 9, 11, 30 and 31 only

On October 9 and 11, Ken Christopher from Christopher Ranch will be reading his book Elephant Garlic Halloween at Lakeside Amphitheater—and then giving away FREE books and FREE fresh garlic bulbs, plus FREE tote bags on October 30 & 31!

On all four days, volunteers from the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association will also be providing FREE garlic bread or ice cream in the Events Plaza (Downtown BOO Alley) during the times noted below, or while supplies last.

• Friday, October 9

  • Book reading 5:15-6pm followed by FREE garlic and FREE books

  • FREE Garlic Bread at Downtown BOO Alley from 5-9pm (while supplies last)

• Sunday, October 11

  • Book reading 3-4pm followed by FREE garlic and FREE books

  • FREE Garlic Bread at Downtown BOO Alley from 1-6pm

• Friday, October 30

  • FREE garlic, FREE books, and FREE tote bags at Downtown BOO Alley from 5:15-6pm

  • FREE Garlic Ice Cream at Downtown BOO Alley from 5-9pm (while supplies last)

• Saturday, October 31

  • FREE garlic, FREE books, and FREE tote bags at Downtown BOO Alley from 1-2pm

  • FREE Garlic Ice Cream at Downtown BOO Alley from 12-4pm (while supplies last)

Ready to do the BOO?

Sing and dance along during The Great Big BOO live musical show—and then catch up with all your favorite BOO Alley friends at character encounters throughout the park.

Shows:

• BOO Town Hall – Kick off Halloween with Storyteller Sammy Jo Scarecrow and the BOO Crew!

• Princess Priscilla’s Perfect Tea Party – Help guide Princess Priscilla to be the perfect princess!

• Cranium’s Mad Lab – Visit the mad scientist to brew up some wacky potions.

• Frankie’s Lounge –  Get a drink from the nearby bar and help Frankie overcome his stage fright!

• Wendella’s House on the Hill – Grab your Boo Trail Pail and join the BOO Crew as they trick-or-treat at the mysterious house on the hill.

• The Great Big BOO Musical Show – Dance and sing along as the BOO Crew try to save Halloween from the curse of Wendella the Witch!
