To commemorate the 30th Anniversary, PIER 39 along with Aquarium of the Bay, will launch the “Sea Lions in San Francisco” initiative in January. Thirty local artists will paint six-foot-tall sea lion statues in their own unique styles, each with an environmental message. Join PIER 39 to celebrate these playful mammals with a painted sea lion statue exhibition, Sea Lion Discovery Walks, special discounts and more from January 17-20.

Lantern Parade

Everyone can be a part of Art After Dark! This fun-filled people parade will start and finish at Veteran’s Park and weave through the various art installations in downtown Napa. All ages are encouraged to participated and create a lantern. A perfect event for the family, be a part of this community art celebration. No fire is allowed, please use battery operated lights.

Gray Whale Watching

Join sanctuary naturalists as we venture into the migration path of the gray whales traveling from Arctic feeding grounds to Baja California breeding grounds. Learn about their natural history, their recovery from near extinction, and survival challenges in a changing ocean environment. Discover the natural history and adaptations of the seabirds, porpoises, seals, and sea lions we encounter.
