Celebrate Memorial Day in Mill Valley

Flapjacks are flipping, paraders are parading, concerts are rocking and the Kiddos are lovin' the carnival at Mill Valley's biggest celebration of the year. Spend the day in Mill Valley on Monday, May 28 and enjoy a full day food and fun with friends and family this Memorial Day Weekend! 

PANCAKE BREAKFAST, 7-11am, City Hall

Batter up and fill your bellies with the Mill Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association's dee-licious Pancake Breakfast. Serving up a yummy breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and coffee. Adults $10, Kids under 13 $5. Enjoy with the friendly folks in Mill Valley....present company included. Yep, that's right....Talkin' 'bout Mill Valley, That's my home. 


MEMORIAL SERVICE, 9:45am, The Depot

It’s important that we remember why we have a Memorial Day holiday and honor those who fought for our country and have earned our eternal gratitude. As we all enjoy time with family and friends, take a moment to remember the sacrifices that make it possible for us to enjoy our freedoms. There will be speakers, flag raising, singing and more.


MEMORIAL DAY PARADE, 10:30am starts at Old Mill Park

Get ready to catch some candy, wave to familiar faces and make new friends at this years Memorial Day Parade. The parade starts at Old Mill Park at 10:30am, winds its way throughout downtown and ends at Tam High School. 


KIDDO! FAMILY CARNIVAL

If Kiddo! is known for just one thing  — other than all the wonderful art, drama and music curriculum and everything else it raises money for in the Mill Valley Schools —  it most assuredly is known for its Memorial Day Weekend Carnival and Day on the Green.

And guess what? That Carnival and Day on the Green are nearly here!

Vouchers that can be exchanged for tickets will be on sale Monday, May 21 to Thursday, May 24 in the Kiddo! office from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday, May 25 from 8:30 to 1 pm. Sales will also be held at the Mill Valley Community Center on Thursday, May 24, 2 to 5 pm, and Friday, May 26, 2 to 3:30 pm.

Carnival hours will be Friday, May 25, 4 to 10 pm; Saturday and Sunday May 26 and 27, noon to 10 pm; and Monday, May 28, noon to 5 pm. The Day on the Green will feature free music – and food and beverages for purchase – on Monday, May 28 after the Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade is over. Drop all your troubles by the riverside and come on by!
