Summer Camp Registration is Open for Vilda’s 2019 Summer Camps for kids ages 4-15 years old. Activities include Nature awareness, Wilderness Survival, Games and hiking, Animal Tracking, Plant ID and uses, Primitive Skills, Wilderness safety and lost-proofing, Organic Farming, Carpentry, Kayaking, Tending Farm Animals, Stealth and Archery, Bird Language, Ecology & Sustainable Practices, Journaling & Nature Meditation, Yoga or Movement, Peacemaking and Team Building and Leadership Skills. Vilda Camps focus on four different themes:

Forest  |  Bay  |  Farm  |  Village

Adventure stealthily through the woodlands in search of animals, plants and mysteries. Learning about the ancient skills of those who know the ways of the earth. Vilda’s Forest theme includes the following camps:

Befriend the beaches and the water. Moving at times on foot in search of tracks in the sand and at times by kayak learning the ways of the water and the wind. Vilda’s Bay theme includes the following camps:

Farm

Tend the land on an organic farm. Make connections to where our food comes from and learn the skills of farmers and ranchers. Vilda’s Farm theme includes the following camps:

Thrive as an important part of an earth based village. Learn hands on skills like carpentry, gardening and ecological crafts in the company of friends and expert adults. Vilda’s Village theme includes the following camp:

ABOUT VILDA

Vilda’s beloved nature day camps are an organic, all natural, local, free range, 100% awesome summer experience in the hills, lakes and bays of Marin and at a 250-acre organic farm in Petaluma. With wilderness skills, nature connection and ecological stewardship wrapped in lots of adventure and play, campers learn about animal tracking, wild edible plants, primitive skills, natural dyes and much, much more. Vilda offers programs in Fairfax, San Rafael, Petaluma and Point Reyes for ages 4-13. Their San Rafael camps additionally include swimming and kayaking or hands on skills such as carpentry and ecological crafts, and their Petaluma camps include organic farming and tending baby farm animals. Founded in 2008, Vilda is a Marin based non-profit with the mission of facilitating meaningful connection to the natural world. Vilda’s highly trained adult instructors provide kids with a caring individualistic experience at a 1:6 instructor to camper ratio or better.
