● Daily 1:1 Instruction: Students work with a dedicated teacher who works closely with them to support academic growth, executive functioning, self-advocacy, and social communication.

● Small Class Groupings by Learning Profile: Students are grouped based on their unique learning profile, skill level, educational, and social-emotional needs. This allows teachers to more precisely develop a skill-based program that meets the skill and academic needs of each student in a small group.

● Ongoing Assessment: This is the key to understanding a child’ s evolving strengths and needs that informs individualized programming. It allows educators to measure skills, track progress, and refine goals.

● Essential Skill Development: Based on their own Lives Over Time research and research in the field, Winston Prep has identified 8 qualities that really matter and are correlated with postsecondary success and independence. These essential skills are infused in every facet of each student’ s program.

The results?

A 99.7% high school graduation rate, with over 80% of graduates enrolling in colleges and universities (compared to just 33% nationwide for LD students). Last year alone, Winston Prep graduates were accepted to more than 100 colleges and universities.
