Cirque de Bohème was reimagined in 2008 by French-born artist Michel Michelis, following the success of his collaboration with the Red Moon Cabaret company in San Francisco. Around the same time, Pixar Studios and John Lasseter invited Michel to lend his voice to a new character in Cars 2 a French car, naturally.
