Annual Festival is once again curated by Northern Sierra Mewuk basketweaver and culture bearer Jennifer Bates. The festival offers a unique opportunity to meet skilled California Indian artisans from across the state.

This year, Jennifer has invited demonstrators to present a special focus on California Indian Traditional Foodways, with presentations on cultivation, gathering, and preparation. You won’t want to miss this special event!

Presenters will also demonstrate traditional crafts and activities, including basket weaving, beadwork, jewelry making, and more.

The festival will be at Ohlone Park, in Berkeley (between McGee & Grant) on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
