An Evening in Italy | Opening Night
Join us as we kick off the Festival with a taste of Italian music and food. Hear the rarely performed work "Sette duetti miniatura" by violinist Hans Liviabella and violist Ruth Kahn. Members of the San Francisco Boys Chorus will follow with an inspiring selection of works. The program concludes with lyric baritone Marco Vassalli and Adler Fellow pianist César Cañón performing a selection of arias, lieder and songs. KDFC’s Dianne Nicolini emcees this wonderful journey to Italy and beyond.

A Transfixing Fusion
Cadence Strange, a 13-year-old vocalist from Musica Marin’s Young Artist Programs, will open the concert. Renowned American Soprano Felicia Moore then graces our stage for the first time in this fusion of music from a mix of genres and eras. This recent Juilliard graduate and roster member of the Metropolitan Opera will share her extraordinary vocal gifts in performances of works by Sibelius and Strauss, Wagner and Brahms. The program is rounded out with a world premiere Duo by Composer in Residence Clint Borzoni specially created for violinist Hans Livabella and violist Ruth Kahn for the occasion.
After the concert, listen to acapella quartet Simple Harmonic Motion, as you celebrate the unsung cuisines of the explosive Bay Area food scene. Savor innovative bites from a array of culturally diverse chefs including:

• Intu-On Kornnawong, Intu On, Thai-Californian Cuisine
• Francis Ang, Pinoy Heritage, Filipino delights
Their dishes will be paired with wine from local wineries accompanied by live music. Saturday’s event will take you around the world and right back here to the beautiful Belvedere-Tiburon Peninsula.
Celebrating The Arts| Festival Finale
KDFC’s Rick Malone will emcee the festival finale Celebrating The Arts, Alex Taite, a tenor from the Bay Area, brings us a selection of African-American Spirituals. Lyric baritone Marco Vassalli will perform a selection of works by Leonard Bernstein and Robert Schumann. Marco will then join the Festival String Quartet in an original work for baritone and string quartet by Clint Borzoni. The Festival weekend concert concludes with the magnificent string sextet in G major by Johannes Brahms.
The closing party presents the a capella quartet Simple Harmonic Motion singing barbershop, pop and jazz tunes. Two-time GRAMMY® winning violinist Mads Tolling and Friends perform American jazz in a festive afternoon event to close this weekend celebrating Music, Food and Philanthropy.
